Close2Me Baby

"To wear, or not to wear: that is the question" …or at least the question Ophelia may have asked Hamlet.

Babywearing is certainly the hottest and most beneficial trend today. Beneficial because it allows parents the opportunity to bond with their tots, while offering safety and convenience, It also benefits your little ones by promoting physical development and balance. And thanks to amazing designers such as Close2Me Baby, wearing you baby is unmistakably a hot fashionable trend.

Close2Me Baby carriers (available in mei tais and wraps) can be used from birth and come with adjustable bottom tabs for holding smaller babies with their legs out. The mei tais have a hidden removable sleeping hood/head support that holds your baby's head steady against you or can be used as a sunshield as well. When not in use it tucks securely inside the mei tai.The carriers are designed to be worn in front or in back with extra long straps available (isn't it great to have choices).

Close2Me Baby has a huge selection of fabric options, so you are sure to find one to match your personal style. One of my favorites comes from the company's brand new product line, the Rockin' Baby Collection. Combining edginess with fun, the Red Hot Flames Mei Tai is fabulous. It is super easy to care for; just machine wash and line dry.

If you are confused about the correct way to wear your carrier, Close2Me Baby can help. Detailed step by step instructions are available on their website.

Now back to our hypothetical soliloquy…
Hamlet's response to Ophelia's question, "'Tis nobler in the mind to wear the sling in good fortune."

I could not agree more! Visit Close2Me Baby and discover the benefits of being a hip babywearing parent.

DearJohnnies
Forty weeks is a long time to wait and for some of us, it becomes 40+ weeks. But the time spent waiting is nearly forgotten the minute we see and hold our precious newborn for the first time. We want this moment to last forever…so we take pictures. Lots of pictures! Are they the most flattering pictures we have ever posed for? Probably not…no makeup, less than salon perfect hair and sporting a generic hospital gown that we would prefer to forget. Oh, the thought of what could have been beautiful mommy and baby pictures…

Thanks to Rachel Zinny of DearJohnnies, unflattering delivery gowns are fast becoming a distant memory. Fed up with poor fitting, boring and often times recycled hospital johnnies, Rachel created a line of beautiful, personalized and ultra chic gowns for expectant mothers. She wore a "prototype" during the birth of her second child and it was a clear hit. Requests from friends soon followed and now Rachel makes her beautiful gowns available to all through her website, dearjohnnies.com.

I have been singing the praises of my "new find" but I have yet to tell you all the amazing features. DearJohnnies gowns come in four delightful patterns (Lucy, CeCe, Lexie and Ellie) and are available in two sizes, S/M and L/XL. Each gown has snap-down sleeves for breastfeeding and ease of access for medical attention (vs. having to completely pull down the sleeve and be exposed). Also, each gown has snaps that close down the back to keep you covered from behind (vs. hospital gowns with one single tie...no risk of mooning the doctors). Each gown is made from 100% oh-so-soft cotton and trimmed with coordinating grosgrain ribbon. An optional monogram is available to make your DearJohnnies just that much more special.

Just one more important tip from DearJohnnies…"Most moms like to have two gowns - one for labor and delivery and one to wear the following day or two". Think about it, you can settle for two days in a dreadful hospital issued gown monogrammed with "Property of City Hospital" on the chest or you can feel like, look like and have lasting memories (and photos) of being the most attractive mommy on the maternity ward in your DearJohnnies.

Mom 4 Life

Today is a bright day. It might be cold and raining outside but inside my home this is a bright day. My daughter's smile is just like a big sun shining throughout the house. She is always as happy as a cat in a fish shop but today she discovered something wonderful…something that will make her tot's life easier…a New Native Child's Doll Sling.

As we all know, holding as many toys or objects as possible around the house is probably the biggest existential problem for tots…I understand them. I really do…There are so many exciting toys and curious objects in a home that it is hard to choose which one will have the honor and the pleasure to be walked around all day long…

Thanks to the New Native Child's Doll, my daughter solved that "third-hand-missing" problem. She just fills it in with all the dolls, stuffed toys and any other little extras she wants and she takes off, like a busy little mom…Really cute.

That adorable 100% cotton sling is one of the many lovely and exclusive products that you will find on Mom 4 Life's web site.

Each product has been "carefully selected" by Heather Ledeboer, creator of Mom 4 life and mom of two, and are "designed to make your journey a little less complicated. […] After all if we are in it for life, shoudn't we moms stick together?"

Absolutely!
Here is a very short list of some of my favorite and unique items available on Mom 4 Life's website: the Babykeeper For Public Restrooms, the Clean Shopper -shopping cart cover-, the Proudbody Belly Cast Kit, the Spill-N-Wash fridge liners, the Parent's Journal for the Babysitter, the Sleepy-Time Doorbell Button…and so many more…

Make your journey a little easier: discover Mom 4 Life
