Monkey-toes

It is tough getting my six month old daughter to wear shoes. I was so surprised when she was immediately drawn to the bright colors of the cutest set of shoes and socks from Monkey-Toes. She even let me put them on her without a fuss!

There are several different animal sets from which to choose: Buzzy Bees (bumblebee themed), Spunky Spiders (spider themed), Leap Frogs (frog themed), Little Piggies (pig themed), Wowie Cowie (cow themed), Silly Monkey (monkey themed) and my daughter's favorite, Little Ladies (ladybug themed). The adorable shoes and socks are an eye-catching red and black with tightly coiled black laces on the shoes, adding to the ladybug effect.

I was even more amazed to learn that all the shoes are one-of-a-kind; each is hand painted by Jenny Chism (owner and artist of Monkey-Toes). Along with the socks & shoes sets, Jenny offers hand painted Mary-Janes, which are perfect for when you want to dress up your daughter's outfit a little bit more. All come in a neat netted bag, making for a great shower or holiday gift.

In addition to Monkey-Toes adorable shoes and socks, this compassionate company is dedicated to raising awareness for Sudden Unexplained Death in Children (SUDC). With the help of her mom, five-year-old Rose Chism designed the artwork that is featured on the front of Rosie's Reason "Live for a Reason" tees. They are certainly an amazing testament to the creative and giving spirit of a child. The shirts are available in both adult and children's sizes and sell for $20 ($10 from each sale is donated to SUDC).

To learn more about SUDC and to see all the cute and unique items, visit Monkey-Toes.
