Baby Legs
"Très jolie"…This is my daughter…really "très jolie".
I can't remember a single day where I have not looked at her and told her she is "très jolie"…Very beautiful…Some days I find her soooo "très jolie" that I like to detail everything that is so joli about her…Très joli little nose…Très jolis blue eyes…Très joli belly button…Oh très jolis little feet… (Can you tell I'm just completely soft on my baby girl?) I especially tell her she is "très jolie" once she is dressed up every morning because she makes any outfit look so cute.
Some days I detail everything that I find so joli about her outfit as well…Très jolies little ladybugs…Très jolis buttons…Oh so très jolies flowers…After 15 months of telling her she is so jolie, she slowly but surely developed a "sense of fashion". For instance, whenever I tell her she is jolie, she looks down at her outfit and shows me everything that she thinks is, indeed, joli about it…Seeing her becoming a little "fashion expert" is really cute!

As self-proclaimed "fashion experts", there is one thing she and I agree on: fashion is nothing without practicality!
And that is why we just love the latest fashionable but practical addition to her wardrobe: a pair of Baby Legs warmers!

Practical because they "make nappy changes a breeze, warm legs during nappy free play time, protect soft knees from harsh surfaces, provide light weight sun protection, make EC'n and potty training easier". And the list does not end here: just check out all moms' testimonials on Baby Legs' web site! It's true that they are very useful.
I actually surprise myself discovering new practical aspects of those adorable warmers since my daughter has been wearing them. The last time I thought they were really handy was a couple weeks ago after my daughter played in the backyard just before dinner. Her pants were covered with dirt and leaves, and I knew those were the last clean pants available that day. Dilemma? Absolutely not! The dirty pants went directly in the wash machine and my daughter just casually slipped into Baby Legs for the rest of the day! Perfect!
One practical aspect that I particularly appreciate is the fact that they are "one size fits all", which means that, to the contrary of the precious outfits she will some day sadly outgrow, she will wear her Baby Legs warmer for a very long time!

Baby Legs are also fashionable because my daughter, the budding fashion expert, says so! And she knows about la mode! Seriously, whether your little girl wears them with a onesie, under a skirt, pants, shorts or a tutu, you won't help but think: "she is really très jolie with her Baby Legs"….

Okki Baby

I believe in Santa Claus!

Really, I do. I believe that the jolly ole' man in the bright red suit lives in all of us. He is the inspiration for all the joy and good cheer that we so eagerly give and receive during the holiday season. Without this motivation…what meaning would the holidays really have? I guess my tag line is simply, WWSD (What Would Santa Do).

WWSD…hummm
With Santa's busy schedule, he would surely call on his little elves for assistance. So many gifts to buy, presents to wrap, stockings to stuff, reindeer to groom and cookies to eat…Santa needs a good support team. In my home, this support team is called family! And while they would look pretty silly sporting felt shoes and caps with jingling bells, they do have an alternative. Super cute onesies and tees from Okki Baby.

Okki Baby's holiday collection features long sleeved onesies and tees with images such as Little Elf, Ho Ho Ho and my favorite, Santa's Little Helper. All are made of 100% cotton with a printed image that is 3 inches across in size. Also, a portion of the proceeds from Okki Baby sales goes to helping children in Uganda, Darfur and in the Hogar Corazonista Hermano Policarpo orphanage in Colombia, South America (International Rescue Committee).

Okki Baby's designs are "about celebrating every individual child, and to empower them to be anything they want to be." Laura Simmons, owner and mom, has researched the market to deliver clothing and designs that are not only whimsical and top quality, but are products that both parents and kids love.

So when your tots wake up (or okki which is Japanese for wake up) on Christmas morning, be sure to have a little something under the tree to let them know that you also believe…in Santa and in family.

Now WWSD? So that all his little elves will be dressed in style, he is giving Whats Hot For Tots readers an extra 20% off all purchases at Okki Baby by using coupon code "Hottots20".

Myself Belts

Having a toddler is an interesting, and comical, experience, to say the least. My 19-month old son is a riot…he makes my husband and I laugh all the time. One of his funniest, and sometimes most dangerous, act is attempting to lift very, very heavy things…like the boulder in our front yard. Needless to say, he thinks he can do almost everything by HIMSELF!
So, when we discovered the Myself Belt, we were absolutely thrilled!

The Myself Belt is the perfect item of clothing for a toddler yearning for independence…because they can do it themselves! With its velcro closure, even the littlest of hands can fasten and unfasten this belt. The belts are also adorable…from the camouflage, fire truck, and cars for boys to the hearts, stars, and pink corduroy for girls…there is something for everyone!

In fact, the Myself Belts website is so user friendly, your little independent toddler can view all belt styles and make their own decision (with your help of course)! Also on the website is the sizing guide, for kiddies ages 2 to 6 years old. This guide takes into consideration your child's weight, and finds the perfect fit for them.

Lastly, an adult version is now available for those adults with difficulty fastening their belt, such as after hand surgery, etc.

Want to boost your toddler's self-esteem and independence? Buy the Myself Belts at www.myselfbelts.com.
They make great stocking stuffers too!

Bublove

And it started with a little kiss, like this
She told me to
Walk this way!
Talk this way!
Just give me kiss…

Please forgive me; I am having an 80's moment. You see, I just received the most adorable onesie in the mail from My Bub Rocks (a division of bublove™). The cool design that has got me reminiscing is "two turntables and a pacifier". Right away I pictured Run-DMC rockin' the turntables and lyrics with Aerosmith. Come on, I know you remember the video too… walk this way!

Walk this way indeed (or rather, surf this way) over to bublove's website and take a look at all the bub designs. There are so many cute ones to choose! For example, "sweet bub" for sweet as pie tiny bubs, "rockabilly bub" for you musical big bub, "wiggley bub" for your big-r bub and "love you bub" or "hug your bub" for mom & dad.

I bet you are wondering, who is bub? Good question! Kim Ballesteros (owner and designer of BubLove explains, "My inspiration for bublove is my bub, Lyle. When he was born, my mother started calling him bubby - kind of a nickname for baby." The inability to find cool tees for Bub motivated Kim to begin making them herself. And thus began her quest to spread the love…with bublove tees.

Let's help Kim with her mission to make the world a happier place this holiday season by dressing all of our bubs in bublove's "merry bub" tees. I am picturing it now, a sea of rosy faced Merry Bubs at the Christmas parade…how cute!
