If you were to ask my favorite holiday… without doubt I would answer, Halloween! What other day can you dress up in a wonderful costume, stroll through your neighborhood in the brisk autumn air with your kids and eat pounds of candy without guilt? There is something magical about Halloween that creates memories, which last a lifetime. Is it the costumes? I say…yes!

I can remember, in detail, the costume I wore when I was six years old. I was a little Indian and my mom gave me free reign on the poncho design. Cut from a white pillowcase, my top was adorned with some of the most amazing southwestern artwork a six year old Picasso could envision. And the pièce de résistance …a multi-colored bulls eye covering the rear.

My days of crafting Halloween costumes have ended and I now look for quality "store bought alternatives".
