When my first son was born, I had our overnight bag for the hospital packed months in advance. I was so excited and selected the most precious outfit, with matching receiving blanket and hat, for his journey home from the hospital (all 2 miles of it!). Even though my son was almost 8 pounds at birth, he looked like a peanut in this newborn outfit. I had to roll up the sleeves and legs just to get him in his infant car seat…and forget the hat…it covered his eyes, all the way down to his nose.

So imagine my excitement when my second son was born, just four weeks ago, that I had the perfect coming home outfit for him, made by New For Baby. I just discovered the most fantastic cards. They are from Sweet-Pea-Creations, a company that specializes in handmade birth and adoption announcements, baby shower invitations, christening and baptism invitations as well as matching note cards.

Each card is designed by the owner, Susan Stemple, who personally customizes her works of art. The cardstock, vellum paper, ribbons and envelopes have a superior quality that looks and feels just wonderful.

One of my favorites is a birth announcement featuring a background of pink roses with the birth data printed on a vellum overlay. It is delicately embellished with a gracefully tied organza ribbon. I am also very fond of a darling photo note card with a perky gingham border. Another card I treasure is a beautiful christening card with a reverent design truly befitting the occasion.

It is very easy to choose an original design. The fonts offered are delightful and the choices of wording are just perfect. I love the option of having my return address printed on the back flap of the envelopes. Susan has lots of practical suggestions and great ideas on the website which make the process simple and fun.

I am just so glad to have found a card which is genuinely worthy of the occasion.
