Ah…J'aime mon travail…Oops sorry, I did not see you were here already…I was just thinking that I love my job. Noooo…I am not having a revelation but if, like me, you were about to review Bebe & Bacups' products you would come to that same conclusion: I have the greatest job!
It is indeed impossible to not become enchanted by Bebe & Bacups' designs. Even the name -pronounced "bay bay and bay cups"- is charming. The legend recounts that two moms, Jenn Mercado and Ann Madden, created a line of hand painted nursery furniture, naming it after Ann's niece's imaginary friends. The little business, located in Washington DC, had so much success that, little by little, it grew to a point where it is now offering not only furniture -toy boxes, stools, tables, chairs, etc.- but different types of babies' accessories and clothes -growth charts, onesies, bibs, and hats-.
I have in front of me a mirror from one of their latest lines- Lucky Ming's designs called Blossoms and Buds and it is just beautiful. The frame (a 10"x10" square, ½" thick) is made of solid pine and is hand painted in Summer Blue with Razzle Dazzle flowers and buds. Precious color combination. Not only does it look adorable but attention has been paid to details. For instance the back of the mirror is covered with a velour-type tissue protecting that way your wall, and the wire hanger is fairly long and sturdy so hanging it will not give you a headache.
The result is just perfect.
If you are a future mom/dad to-be on the lookout for a nursery theme or décor that is original, colorful, happy, fun, child-like and unique, or if you would like to bring some art -including a mural!- into your child's room at an affordable price, Bebe & Bacups' designs are for you!
